The Pozzy
he rich history of Ledbury Preserves is told from different perspectives in The Pozzy. It includes bankruptcy, intrigue, high and low finance, colourful personal rivalries and occasional fraud. It is a story of great competence interspersed with episodes of manifest incompetence. The book is no hagiography. It was written and researched by a group of people both inside and outside the business working for enjoyment with their own unique memories to share. It captures a time of a different way of working, when families were bound to local business through history, knowledge and loyalty.
Included on this page are some longer pieces that because of printing constraints were not included in the Pozzy. However, we believe they add to the overall flavour and historical memory of that wonderful place.
